I do own several japanese-made knives, already. Those are jewels - and thus, they are things to be cared as such, with love and care, and so they will serve You well. This is different. This is a *tool*. Just as I grab this in my hand; I feel like a grabbing a hammer, powerful and potent. The thing. I can actually work with this. Steel in malluable, workable - I can truly sharpen this on the run and work with this all the day. I do love this metal more, than revered, fancy japanense; This is truly for phrase *less is more*. This is a Chef's knife. And handle is incredible for europeans big paws.
