The No.08 Damas Ziricote celebrates Opinel’s craftsmanship through the combination of two remarkable materials: Ziricote, a precious wood native to Central America, and stainless Damascus steel with its unique patterns.
Naturally grained, Ziricote displays shades and patterns that vary from one knife to another, ranging from lighter to darker tones. Each handle is therefore different, making each knife unique.
The anthracite ring with a titanium finish complements the dark, refined aesthetic.
The Damasteel® blade is produced using powder metallurgy. Two stainless steel alloys in powder form are compacted, sintered and then forged to form a homogeneous material. After grinding and polishing, the blade undergoes acid etching, which brings out the different layers of steel and reveals the characteristic «Sparse Twist™» pattern.
This exceptional edition comes with a black lambskin leather case made in France and an instruction leaflet. The set is presented in an oak box featuring a leather tie.
