Multipurpose pocketknives for everyday use

When Joseph Opinel created the famous pocketknife in 1890 in his little village in the Maurienne valley, he wanted to offer an object that was easy to use, effective and did not take up much space. Very quickly, the penknife became an everyday essential, whether for cooking, eating, gardening or doing a little DIY. The original Opinel steel, carbon steel, is renowned for its incomparable sharpness, resistance to wear and how easy it is to sharpen. It is therefore perfect for small everyday jobs. Small carbon pocketknives come in several sizes. For work requiring more specific and adapted tools, Opinel has developed the N°09 DIY pocketknife, available in two colours. It features a stainless steel blade, wire cutter, wire stripper and two screwdriver bits that attach to the end of the durable, shockproof polymer handle.
