Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Orelien Mora, and I'm 24 years old. I've been working at Opinel for a year, in the ferrule workshop.

What is your job and what does it involve?

I'm a tool-maker, I maintain the tools in the press to make ferrules. I sharpen the dies and the stamps when they become worn, all the pilot holes in the tool, the rivet hole and the grooves. Furthermore, I also do machining and carry out improvements to the workshop, and I make small parts for every workshop.

What do you like best about this job?

It's very varied, I do several things. I really like coming to work, it's interesting.

If you had to describe your profession in just one word, which word would you choose?

Interesting. I learn new things, I never get bored, there's always something to do.

What values would you say that the company holds?

Tradition, expertise, local values.

How did the surrounding people react when you told them you were going to work at Opinel?

They ask all sorts of questions, they're very interested in what I do. I often talk about the company with my friends and family, it has real meaning to lots of people. Opinel is part of many people's lives, there are always stories to tell.

What made you want to work at Opinel?

It's a Savoyard company that has managed to retain its values whilst evolving and growing. I'm really proud to be working at Opinel.
