They are Opinel: Amen Mwuko Gadosseh

I’ve had quite an unusual career path.

I did a BTS in International Business and then became the owner of a small business in Togo, the country where I grew up.

I joined Opinel in 2022 as a temporary worker in the shipping department, and was then hired on a permanent contract in 2024.

In the dispatch department, my role is to prepare orders and parcels for dispatch all over the world. We’re at the end of the factory production line, but we’re part of the customer service team, which means we interact with lots of people.

I enjoy working alongside different departments within the company as it allows me to meet lots of people. I’m an extrovert who loves learning from others.

I also love the ‘active’ side of things. My role allows me to move around quite a bit.

There was a situation when I first arrived that really stuck with me: it was the end of the month and on the last day we had loads of orders to finish in order to hit the monthly turnover target.

We were all running around as a team right up to the last minute and we managed it. It was as if we were a family working towards the same goal. That’s what’s kept me here until now.
