The new version of the ebony Effilé 10 features a unique knife: a 10 cm mirror finish blade, a buffed ebony handle with a special wax and a Virobloc safety ferrule stamped with the range's new logo. It's a pocket knife but also a table knife, because the size of its blade and its cutting quality can be used to cut any food.

Ebony is a rare and luxurious wood coming from the forests of Africa. Thanks to its beautiful density and deep black color, ebony is traditionally used in marquetry. To get a velvet touch, a specific wax is applied manually on each handle.
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
