Today, we'd like to introduce you to Amandine Robinson, Sales Operations Specialist.

Can you introduce yourself?

Hi, I am Amandine, 33 years old. I am married to an American, we have one daughter who is 8 months and one dog who is 2 years and half. I am originally from Nancy and I have been living in the USA for 8 years.

I used to ride horses when I was in France and used to do show jumping. I started when I was 6 and owned 2 horses.

I miss it very much and I had to stop riding living in the US. I love food, mostly cooking and be outside as much as I can.

What is your position at Opinel USA?

I am a Sales Operations Specialist, meaning I coordinate with all the logistics between France and here and I also take care of the wholesale business side.

Who are your customers?

My customers are wholesalers. Brick and Mortar stores, National accounts, e-commerce, distributors and Food service as well.

What do you like best about your job?

I don’t get bored so that’s great! I love being multi-tasking and connecting pieces all together. That is to say, I do different things in my role and I love it!

What values do you see in the company?

Continuous learning and improvement, teamwork, passion, quality, simplicity, and trust!

What does working at Opinel mean to you, or to your family and friends?

Living in the US, this was the best opportunity for me. I could keep my French side and share this “savoir faire”, what a great combo! I grew up with Opinel, very well known and I am so proud of working in this subsidiary. I am also very happy to learn more about the business here in the US and grow in new positions with Opinel USA. My family are very happy and my friends are jealous of my beautiful kitchen knives !!!

Which is your favorite Opinel knife?

I don’t have one in particular because they are all special. However I do cook a lot and I love the kitchen lines. Les Forgés 1890 are my favorite!
