The marquetry by cabinetmaker Bruno Chaperon transforms the classic No. 08: the combination of four different woods plays on contrasts and makes it a unique object.
The handles of Chaperon knives are made from four types of wood: wenge (Cameroon/Gabon), dos santos rosewood (Brazil), walnut (France), and ash (France). The veneer sheets are made from maple or American walnut.
Wenge is a dark wood with a precise and refined grain that adds texture to the handle.
Rosewood is a tropical wood whose brown, orange, and reddish hues add character and color.
Walnut is a dense wood with dark tones that add contrast to the entire handle.
Ash is a light-colored wood with a uniform appearance that adds brightness and enhances the marquetry work on these knives.
Equipped with an 8.5 cm stainless steel blade and a highly resistant, hand-buffed handle, it is both practical and compact. Its Virobloc® system allows the user to move around and work in complete safety.
This knife can be customized.
